Dragon unagi roll

The dragon unagi roll looks like you can probably guess, like a dragon. The slices of avocado and unagi on top of the uramaki roll resemble the scales of the dragon. The uramaki roll looks super festive and also tastes amazing. In this recipe we top off the sushi roll with the Eel sauce of Nihon Shokken.

Ingrediënts:

  • Sushi rice
  • Avocado
  • Unagi topping
  • Surimi
  • Cucumber
  • Eel sauce - Nihon Shokken
  • Nori

How to make the dragon unagi roll? 

  1. Cook the sushi rice.
  2. Season the sushi rice with sushi seasoning. 
  3. Place the nori sheet on the rough side up on the bamboo mat.
  4. Take a handful of rice.
  5. Spread the rice all over the nori.
  6. Place the fillings on the other side of the nori sheet and roll the sheet.
  7. Slice a avocado very thin and gently place the avocado and unagi topping over the sushi roll. 
  8. As a final step: add the eel sauce for extra flavor.
