Gyudon

Gyudon means ''beef bowl'' and is a Japanese dish. The bowl consists rice topped with beef and onion which is simmered in a sweet sauce (in this recipe we use the Nihon Shokken rice bowl sauce). The Nihon Shokken sauce makes it easy to prepare the dish fast. 

Ingredients:

  • Rice bowl sauce
  • Rice
  • Beef
  • Onion
  • Beni shoga

How to make gyudon?

  1. Cook the rice (its best to use sushi rice).
  2.  Mix sauce and water 40g each. (Sauce : water = 1 : 1)
  3. Slice the onions and beef.
  4. Simmer sliced onions and beef. 
  5. Mix the sauce with the sliced onions and beef.
  6. Add the rice to a bowl and put the sliced onions and beef on top.
  7. As topping you can use beni Shoga.
